A Prayer for a father to Be a Godly Father
A Prayer for a father to Be a Godly Father Heavenly Father, Provide me: The Gift of Time (Proverbs 3:11-12): Show me how to delight in our kids at all ages and stages, giving them proper time and attention. The Gift of Love (Ephesians 6:4a): Help me to not provoke our children to wrath, but give them patient training and biblical instruction. The Gift of Steadfast Teaching (Ephesians 6:4b): Guide and direct me to bring our children up in the ways of you. Help me to give them steadfast teaching. The Gift of Meekness (Titus 3:12): Show me how to be a man of meekness and remind me of your amazing example of unbridled strength. The Gift of Humility (James 4:6): Help me to model humility before our children. The Gift of Security (Proverbs 14:26): May our home be a fortress and a refuge as my wife and i fear your name. The Gift of Integrity (Proverbs 20:7): I pray to walk with integrity and conviction. |
The Gift of Hard Work (Proverbs 12:11): Help me to work hard with my hands, providing for my family.
The Gift of a Godly Legacy (Proverbs 17:6): Allow me to live a legacy for our family and our children’s children to follow.
The Gift of Joyful Service (Psalm 100:2): Help me to be an example of worshiping and serving you with gladness of heart.
I ask all this in your sons name, Jesus Christ, Amen
